April 07, 2015

Lei Liang, composer-in-residence at Calit2, presents his new multimedia piece Hearing Landscapes on April 17 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Calit2 Auditorium, Atkinson Hall, UC San Diego, and again on Saturday May 2 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 as part of ArtPower!'s Filmatic Festival on campus.

Liang's collaboration with software and robotics engineers and others from highly technical backgrounds is built around scans of 12 rare Chinese watercolors by 20th-century artist Huang Binhong.
