FILM WITH MARK DRESSER'S SCORE HITS THE ROAD

Filmmaker Sarah Jane Lapp's CHRONICLES OF A PROFESSIONAL EULOGIST, with a score by UCSD music faculty member Mark Dresser, premiered last spring at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. This fall it rolls to several major cities including Boston (Harvard University, Seattle (the Asian Art Museum), and New York (The Jewish Museum). Dresser received a Bellagio Fellowship in 2007 to compose and perform music for the film. This is his second collaboration with Lapp, following CHRONICLES OF AN ASTHMATIC STRIPPER. Mr. Dresser is busy this fall. On October 20, he performs with Trio M at the Earshot Jazz Festival in Seattle. |
