* Music majors and minors ONLY. Students must audition prior to enrollment. Audition days and times will be posted on the Music Department website and on the Undergraduate bulletin board. Instruction is available for bass, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, french horn, guitar, harp (tentative), oboe, percussion, piano, saxophone, trombone/tuba, trumpet, viola, violin, and voice.

Performance ensembles courses- Music 95B-W, 130, 131, and 134- are open to ALL students, not just Music majors and minors. Auditions are required for all ensembles except for Music 95C: Concert Choir, Music 95G: Gospel Choir, and Music 95W: Sitar and Tabla. Please see the General Audition Requirements handout for information on each ensemble and how to audition. Information is also available on the Department’s website at http://music.ucsd.edu/.

Note: Sequence courses (Music 1, 2, 2K, 33, 101, 102, 103, 120, 137, 174, and ICAM 160) must be taken in order. They always begin in Fall quarter.
