Cross Talk

The sound that reaches an ear from the opposite loudspeaker is called cross-talk.

Cross talk effectively limits the placement of auditory images to the area between the speakers.

It is possible to compensate for cross-talk using filters if the listener is accurately positioned (e.g. wearing headphones).
