Single-Sideband modulation

Single-sideband modulation changes the amplitudes of two carrier waves that have quadrature phase relationship.

Single-sideband modulation is given by

$\displaystyle x_{ssb}(t) = x(t)\cdot \cos(2\pi f_ct) - \mathcal{H}\{x(t)\}\cdot
\sin(2\pi f_ct),
$

where $ \mathcal{H}$ is the Hilbert transform.
