Two-port Scattering Junction

The junction reflection filters are given by

$$R_1 = k$$    and $$\qquad R_2 = -k.$$

For cylinders, what is not reflected is transmitted:

• the transmission filters are amplitude complementary,
• for pressure waves yields:
  $$T_1 = 1+R_1 = 1+k,$$
  and
  $$T_2 = 1+R_2 = 1-k.$$
